CBC News is reporting that during the spring and summer of 2010, several large transactions took place at two British Columbia casinos that officials now suspect may have been efforts to launder money.
Both the Starlight Casino in New Westminster and the River Rock Casino in Richmond have reported several suspiciously large transactions totaling millions of dollars to the RCMP.
In one instance, a gentleman entered the Starlight Casino with $1.2 million in chips and had casino staff convert it into cash.
