Amarillo, Texas - An Amarillo woman is found guilty in Federal court for charges relating to defrauding investors out of more than $600,000 dollars.
The United States Attorney's office says 60 year old Janice Edwina Demmitt was convicted in court late Friday in Amarillo.
She was found guilty on 20 charges including wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Demmitt and her son Timothy Fry were both convicted for scamming elderly investors out of annuity money.
They are both scheduled to be sentenced in October.
