PROVO -- A judge has dismissed charges against two people accused of stealing from Nu Skin, and dismissed one charge and reduced other charges against a third person.
The charges were dismissed against Elizabeth Craig and Brady Harper, who were charged with pattern of unlawful activity, theft by receiving, money laundering and selling articles carrying a registered trademark.
The judge dismissed a count of theft by receiving against Scott Lazerson, and reduced charges of pattern of unlawful activity and money laundering from first- to second-degree felonies. He also faces a charge of selling articles carrying a registered trademark, a class B misdemeanor.
Prosecutors had alleged the three received in-kind donations from Nu Skin employees after telling the employees the products would be used to help people in Third World countries, then sold them on eBay and Amazon.com for personal profit.
