FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ― Disgraced former Broward County Commissioner Josphus Eggelletion will be sentenced Thursday on a state bribery charge.
Eggelletion was brought back to Broward County from a federal prison in Georgia.
Last April Eggelletion pleaded guilty to bribery for accepting a $32 hundred golf club membership from developers in exchange for voting in favor of their projects.
In Eggelletion's unrelated federal case, he was caught during a sting accepting $23 thousand for helping undercover FBI agents launder what he thought was $900 thousand in 'dirty' money.
In December 2009 he pleaded guilty to federal money laundering charges and filing a false tax return and was sentenced to two and a half years.
Eggelletion, 60, was caught during a corruption probe in Broward which also snared former school board member Beverly Gallagher and former Miramar commission Fitzroy Salesman.
