The third defendant of seven indicted in a multimillion-dollar money laundering operation based out of Draper was sentenced to one year of probation Wednesday.

Tina Hill, of Las Vegas, pleaded guilty to a Wire Wager Act conspiracy in connection with an illegal Internet gambling operation.

"I have great respect for the law and would never knowingly break the law," she said. "I feel comfortable in my decision to take responsibility for my actions in this matter, to stand up and take credit and move forward with my life."

Hill was sentenced to 12 months of probation, as it is believed she was involved in the scheme at a very minimal level and was taking direction from those above her.

Defense attorney Scott Williams told the judge that of all the people he's defended in his career, Hill was the least likely to be involved in criminal activity again.

The judge said he would assign a sentence of probation so as to not have "disparities" in the case. He imposed a similar sentence on Monday to two others believed to have played a minor role, Francisco Lombardo and his wife, Kimberlie.
