A 44-year-old Jamaican woman has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for conspiracy and money laundering in connection with immigration fraud.
U.S. Attorney Neil H. MacBride said Clover May Robinson-Gordon of Montego Bay was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Norfolk to 45 months.
A federal jury found Robinson-Gordon guilty in October of conspiring with the Viktar Krus organization in Virginia Beach to commit worker visa fraud and laundering the unlawful proceeds.
Viktar Krus and 21 other foreign nationals and U.S. citizens were indicted in January 2009 as part of the massive immigration-related fraud case.
Krus was sentenced in July to more than seven years in prison for conspiracy, visa fraud and tax evasion.
