Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah presided over the Cabinet weekly regular session held yesterday at the Emiri Diwan.

After the meeting the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Sheikh Nasser bin Mohamed bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani stated the following: The Cabinet discussed and took the following decisions: First: Approved a draft law on money laundering fighting. Second: Approved a draft law amending some provisions of law No. 12 of 2004 on private societies and institutions and decided to refer the draft law to the Advisory Council. Third: Approved the enforcement of the provisions of law No. 24 of 2002 on retirement and pensions to the Qatari employees of the Arab Democracy Foundation. Fourth: Approved a draft agreement on cooperation in the legal field between governments of Qatar and Dominican Republic. Fifth: Approved two draft MoUs: a) A MoU in the health field between governments of Qatar and Poland. b) A MoU in the health field between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Sixth: The cabinet took appropriate decision on: a) A note by the Public Health Minister and Secretary General of Supreme Health Council on a report pertaining to the approved plans and programmes and future projects. b) A note by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 82nd meeting of the Financial and Economic Committee’s meeting, held in Muscat.
