A Tehachapi woman was arrested and charged with felony grand theft of property and money laundering, according to the Kern County Superior Court.
Lindsey Marie Heckathorn, 28, was arrested Friday, July 23, following an investigation by the Bakersfield Police Department, which made the arrest. Heckathorn is suspected of making 417 fraudulent transactions totalling roughly $250,000.
She appeared in court in Bakersfield July 27 for a felony arraignment.
Her next appearance will be Aug. 5 in Bakersfield for a preliminary hearing.
During the arraignment, she was being held in custody on $95,000 bail, but is no longer in custody according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office inmate database.
Calls to Bakersfield Police Department’s acting public information director Jorge Gomez were not returned.
