Petitioner against Jang/Geo has fraud case registered against him

ISLAMABAD: The petitioner who approached the Justice of Peace Islamabad (JP) to have a case registered against Jang/Geo group has a fraud case registered against him.
The complainant, Arshad Mehmood Butt, had gotten an order from the additional sessions judge/justice of peace to lodge an FIR under Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). Upon appearing at the Margalla Police Station on Sunday night, Arshad Mehmood Butt started shouting that he will set himself on fire if the police did not register the case.
Geo News has learnt that the petitioner who identified himself as a brick kiln owner has a fraud case registered against him at a police station in Chakwal. The case against Arshad Butt was filed on 30 July 2005 on the orders of the Additional District and Sessions Judge under sections 468,420 and 471.
According to details of the case, Arshad Butt had submitted a fake matric diploma for the union council nazim elections.
Earlier on Monday, the Islamabad High Court dismissed the Justice of Peace order to register a case against Jang/Geo group.
