Police have charged eight people with money laundering and other drug-related offences after a series of dawn raids on the Isle of Man.

Operation Increment was conducted over one week by the Manx Financial Crime and Drug Trafficking Units.

Police say the intelligence-led operation is continuing and more arrests are expected in the future.

Det Insp John Scarffe said: "We target criminals who profit from crime and take the profits from them."

He added: "Where appropriate those profits may be used against them to fund further similar police operations".
