An Australian man wanted for drug smuggling has been arrested in Bali.
Timothy Geoffrey Lee, a dual citizen of Australia and the UK, was arrested on the Indonesian holiday island at the weekend, Bali police announced on Monday.
The 45-year-old, wanted by Interpol and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) since 2008, was found with 45 litres of raw materials for the creation of methamphetamine, Bali police chief Sutisna said.
"We are still investigating Timothy and planning to coordinate with Interpol and the AFP to extradite him to Australia," Sutisna, who goes by one name, said.
"Timothy has committed the crime of carrying drugs to Australia and money for money laundering.
"It's suspected he's a member of an Australian drugs ring."
Lee had travelled frequently between Australia and Bali in recent years, Sutisna said.
Police also seized an Australian passport and three UK passports.
