Men facing theft, money laundering charges

Two company directors involved with the $15 million development of the old Sandringham Hotel site in Belmont have been charged over theft and money laundering offences worth more than $2.5 million.
Officers from the major fraud squad have charged a 69-year-old man from Singapore and a 51-year-old Joondalup man with four counts of stealing $1.545 million and money laundering of $1.03 million.
The Joondalup man has also been charged with 14 counts of uttering, two counts of false accounting and another stealing charge.
The men are expected to appear before the Perth Magistrate's Court today.
