NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News investigators credit a Crime Line caller with leading them to a man wanted on eight felony charges.
Police said the call led to Elias Jones' arrest on November 1.
Jones was wanted on two counts each of forgery, obtaining money by false pretense, conspiracy to commit a felony and money laundering.
Jones is accused of manufacturing and cashing counterfeit checks in Hampton, Smithfield and Suffolk.
Jones has a very distinct tattoo of a dollar sign between his eyes.
