A thames Valley Police spokesperson said "The charges are in connection with a 12 month investigation whereby high value electrical items have been stolen from chemists, garden centres and electrical retailers. These items have then gone on to be sold via the internet and investigations, which have included 10 warrants, have revealed up to £300,000 has been passed through various financial accounts."
In total 8 people, from across the country, have been charged:
Matt Wali Kahn, also known as Paul Jones, aged 33, from New Street, Aylesbury, is charged with conspiracy to steal and conspiracy to launder money.
Vicky Carter, aged 23, and Andrew Short, aged 26, from The Milliners, Aylesbury, were both charged on Saturday (10/4) with conspiracy to steal.
Laura Roberts, aged 27, from Summerland Road, Minehead; Judith Rogers, aged 54, from Constable Place, Aylesbury; Rebecca Rogers, aged 22, from Parkland Rise, Minehead; Shazad Khan, aged 29, from Court Avenue, St Catherines, Luton; and Martin Rigby, aged 43, from Manor Way, Chesham were all charged on Sunday (11/4) with conspiracy to launder money.
Kahn, Carter and Short have been remanded in custody and the other five people have been bailed until they are due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 22 April.
