June 24 (Bloomberg) -- Italian checks on possible tax evasion and money laundering by account holders at HSBC Holdings Plc’s Swiss private bank will yield initial results next month, il Sole 24 Ore reported, citing the head of the finance police.

“We’ll get the first results by the end of July,” General Nino Di Paolo told Sole in an interview published today. Finance police are examining a list of some 7,000 accounts with a total value of about $6.9 billion, he told the Italian newspaper.
