SEVEN people have been arrested and cash, cars and credit cards seized in a cross-border police operation targeting a suspected organised crime ring.
More than 200 officers from Surrey Police took part in a series of raids on Tuesday morning in Weybridge, Lewes, Worthing, Brighton, Putney and Chelsea.
Almost £100,000 in cash was recovered, along with 70 fraudulently obtained credit cards, 20 forged driving licences and 30 passports.
Several high value cars were taken from addresses, including an Audi RS4, a Range Rover and a Porsche Cayenne.
Police said the operation was targeting those suspected of “large scale identity fraud and money laundering”.
Six men in their 30s and one woman in her 40s were arrested and are in custody at Woking police station.
