A Fremont native accused of defrauding investors entered into a plea agreement this week in Colorado.
Mark Hamilton Yost, 47, pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Denver to one count of wire fraud, defrauding a financial institution and money laundering, as well as four counts of making false statements to a bank.
Authorities alleged that Yost of Boulder, Colo., and his company, Yost Partnership LP, falsified documents to misrepresent the amount of money that was in the investment funds and used the funds for personal reasons.
They also said Yost used funds from Flatirons Bank in Boulder, where Yost was chairman of the board, to pay investors.
The incidents were alleged to have happened between 2005 and July 2010.
Sentencing was set for April 15.
